Following the success of his latest singles ” Apple Cider Country” and “Nomadic Grey Spirits” Terje comes back with “One Foot”. This song relates to the way many AM car enthusiasts from this region use their free time to drive around in the harish and beautiful landscape of Hardanger on the West Coast of Norway.
“One Foot” is about an American pony dream car: My brother owns a Trans Am Pontiac Firebird 1979 T-model with over 400 horsepower. Once a black beauty with a golden eagle on the hood. It was his dream car, and it shined. He sent it to å stylist to fix it up. Unfortunately, he got back a wreck. My brother is on social benefits and is struggling to get his car to shine again. We will make a music video of my brother and his 1979 Trans AM. We hope it will shine again in the landscapes of Norway. We plan to release the video mid-September this year.
“One Foot” stems from the name of a big black flack of a Toyota Crown, 1974 model owned by a friend of us. He used to sing along Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers “Rebels” while driving this car to and from work. One of the sentences became the name to his car: “Yeah with One foot in the grave and One foot on the pedal”. The idea of this song is both to show the dream in the verses and the dangers of all these powers in the choruses. This single is the 5th of his 7 upcoming country/folk releases for 2025, and it will be part of his 4th EP (The Dreamer) planned to be released in 2025.
The song was produced and recorded in The Norwegian Sound Studio by David Michelsen & Marius Bergseth, who also helped with songwriting, composition, backing VikingCowboyMusic vocals and they played all the instruments. The mastering oversaw by Peter Michelsen. The lyrics was written by Terje Gravdal.
