The Sexonores made a comeback with “Coco,” a new single

1.6k

The Sexonores are a jazz fusion/soul band made up of 6 people:
Jasmine Van Schellebeck : female voice and lyricist

  • Giovanni Freitas : keyboardist, producer and male voice/lyricist
  • Romuald Freitas : drummer, percussionist and producer
  • Yahel Monduc : bassist and producer Esteban Bot : saxophonist
  • Vevette Kombo : manager/agent

They are all from the eastern suburbs of Paris, France. The group was formed in October 2019, following collaborations on projects specific to each member. More present on small local stages than in the studio, they released one single per year between 2020 and 2022. And today, May 12th 2023, The Sexonores returned with a new single, “Coco”, which announced an EP to come in 2023.

Why the band is called The Sexonores? That is the contraction between sex and “sonores”, which means sound in french. The goal of their music is to cause eargasm, or at least pleasure and happiness to their listeners.
“Coco” is an ode to love and food in a subtle yet straightfoward way. It is the pleasure of enjoying the company of the other, the loved one, of giving him/her pleasure, of well-being. These simple, unpretentious moments in life that make everyday life sweeter.
