UK Artist CWM (Clockwork Motion) Releases Soulful New Single “Flicker” — A Tender Meditation on the Power of Being Seen

49

Emerging UK soul/R&B artist CWM (Clockwork Motion) releases his new single “Flicker”, a deeply personal and emotionally rich track that explores the profound impact of a fleeting moment of recognition. It’s the third release from his upcoming concept album, The Quiet That Follows, a narrative-driven project that charts an emotional arc from isolation to inner light.

Built on lo-fi textures, warm Rhodes piano, and vulnerable vocals, “Flicker” recalls the sonic
intimacy of artists like Sampha, Snoh Aalegra, and James Blake. The track reflects on a memory of being noticed—just once—and how that single spark can echo for years.

“This song is about what it felt like to be seen once. Not loved, not understood—just noticed.
And that tiny flicker stayed with me.”— CWM. “Flicker” is now streaming on Spotify and Mixcloud and will soon be available across all major platforms. It features layered vocal call-and-response, a slow-burning build, and a lyrical hook that lingers: “Just a flicker… still burning in me.”

CWM continues to build momentum with a growing catalogue of emotionally honest, musically restrained soul music. The Quiet That Follows is scheduled for release later in 2025.
