To mark Christmas 2025, Una Lengua Infinita presents “Chefchaouen,” a deeply artistic work that blends poetry, music, and visual art into a moving tribute to diversity, understanding, and peace. More than a seasonal release, the piece feels like a quiet moment of reflection—an offering meant to connect hearts across cultures.
At its core is the poem Chefchaouen by award-winning author Laura Casielles, whose words serve as the emotional and conceptual foundation of the project. The poem’s spirit is carried into sound through a delicate musical arrangement, highlighted by Nafise Amin’s expressive performance on the ney, a traditional Iranian wind instrument. Its soft, breath-like tones guide listeners on a journey that feels both intimate and expansive, crossing borders without needing translation.
The experience is completed by a visual piece created by artist Golam Murtuza. Titled Humanism and Tolerance—a name chosen spontaneously, without prior knowledge of the poem’s title—the video perfectly captures the essence of the work. It speaks to bridge-building, the beauty of difference, and a shared longing for peace in a divided world.
“Chefchaouen” is not simply a song or a video; it is an invitation. It encourages us to look at the world with renewed sensitivity, to listen for what unites us, and to recognize the light each culture brings to the collective human mosaic. Quiet, thoughtful, and deeply human, the project embodies the true spirit of the season.
