Presenting Xavier Da Conceicao, aka Whities

545

With his eclectic style, Xavier Da Conceicao, aka Whities, is a multi-genre artist who mixes pop, electro and funk to create his playfully unique universe. His nickname is Whities, derived from the fact that it was while playing for Lille in 2011 that he received that name. The nickname suggests both the color white and the tendency to roam about in his underwear, fitting him and his jovial character.

Whities’ musical trolley began back then, when his mother was just 3 years to do Jordy impressions and Sardou Michel and Freddy Mercury singing. On his first stage appearance, he was still in primary school and was in charge of all presentations before he directed a junior version of “Romeo and Juliet”.

The journey of formal music education began at the age of 10, learning drums and becoming a part of the municipal orchestra as a vocalist. At 11 he was already cast in a singing and acting role in a musical for the first time. He was appreciated for his vocal abilities and he joined the school choir, the singing workshops, which helped him grow the fervor for performance.

Whities took a break to concentrate on studio work and, when they came back, they recharged their batteries, bringing on board some youngsters they had met during Louane’s tour. He collaborated on a new project, and, in 2016, he released his first single, filming two music videos in the next couple of weeks.

Stepping into the future, this album “My Name is Whities” by Whities becomes the successful transmission of his years of creative exploration. With the eclectic style and limitless energy, Whities never stops to evoke his fans of various ages to enjoy the mad beauty of life through his music.
