“Balenciaga” started as a project between me and Madstarbase a few years ago,” Lisa Mishra says about this work with Madstarbase. As we messed around in the studio, I thought of the hook. A few months later, Akash heard it and started writing songs in the studio. Then Fetty said he would like to join the project. Everything happened out of the blue, and I’m glad it was one of those “right place, right time” times in my life. We combined a traditional Indian melody with hip-hop parts while still letting each style shine on its own. I hope people enjoy what we made and are ready for Fetty’s exciting return, this time with an international twist!”
