David Coast Lights Up Dallas with His Afro-Fusion Anthem, ‘Jo Crazy’

437

David Coast-Ufeli, an artist originally from Nigeria now residing in Dallas, has released a scorching new Afro-fusion tune titled “Jo Crazy.” Having previously established his imprint on important events like SXSW and Solar Fest, and sharing the limelight with Afro musicians such as Babyboy AV, David Coast has finally claimed the spotlight with expectant expectation.

The song “Jo Crazy” is an ode to individuality, a musical manifesto of the joys of coming into one’s own, and a call to liberated dance. But David Coast is more than just another performer; he’s a major player in the music business. He’s the most exciting newcomer to the Afrobeats/Afro-Fusion scene, and he’s more than just a singer/songwriter; he’s also a guitarist, a producer, and a phenomenal performer.

His music is extremely innovative, appealing to listeners of all musical persuasions and expanding his fan base throughout the world.
David’s musical upbringing was flavored with the likes of Whitney Houston and the legendary reggae of Bob Marley, but its origins can be traced back to his exposure to Lagbaja, Fela, and Asa as a youngster.

His musical inspirations are just as varied as his own style; he draws from musicians as diverse as Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Ed Sheeran in order to create a sound that is all his own.

“The song ‘Jo Crazy,’ encompasses the heart of the song. It’s an invitation to let free, to dance without a care in the world, and to relish in the delight of being yourself. ‘Jo Crazy’ serves as a gentle reminder to discover freedom and enjoyment in the present moment, even in the midst of a world that may be hectic and demanding at times. That’s what “Jo Crazy” symbolizes, that genuine acceptance of oneself. It’s a call to arms to ignore convention and march to the beat of one’s own drum.

David released his debut single, “My Pain,” in November 2020, drawing on his experiences during the peak of the COVID-19 epidemic. His subsequent hits, such as the heartfelt “Hush” and the catchy “Your Body,” have captivated listeners in Dallas and beyond.
This song, created by the gifted Marphy Jay, is a one-of-a-kind mashup of Afrobeats and Amapiano, with a touch of deep blues on the guitar.

With the release of ‘Jo Crazy’ rapidly approaching, Coast is already creating waves in the Dallas music scene. I’m building a good following here in Dallas, which will serve as a launching pad for the Afro-Fusion genre when it becomes the next big thing. This is the glory of Afro-Fusion: not only can traditional music be made, but great new aspects can be brought to a new generation of artists by experimenting with other sounds.

In addition to his musical endeavors, David is also a part of the acclaimed Solar Fest and the reality program The Rise. He’s a major player in the Afro fusion movement thanks to his dedication to his art and his talent for fusing many musical styles together.

The mind of David Coast has no limits. His goal is to think outside the confines that society so desperately tries to force us into. Because music truly is the international language of love.
