Well Grounded likes to maintain his privacy (and an air of mystery). He write, arrange, record, mix, and master all of their songs and perform all of the vocals and instrumentation.
Well Grounded released his single, ‘Sailing On’, in 2023 after about 10 years away from music. He has been recording and performing music for about 20 years. Well Grounded’s influences are diverse and too many to list here, but the main ones from reggae and world music would be Bob Marley and the Wailers, UB40, Fela Kuti, Damian Marley, Protoje, Kabaka Pyramid, and Antibalas.

Well Grounded has not played any gigs and has no plans to do so. For now, he is recording music as a meditation and sharing it with the world in the hopes that it brings meaning to at least one other person.
The individual behind Well Grounded has spent the last 10 years reinventing themselves after a somewhat painful departure from recording and performing. He has pursued and attained a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science and work in industry.
Well Grounded recorded, mixed, and mastered this track over the course of a few months at his home studio. The song was originally written and performed under a different artist name almost 20 years ago.
If you are releasing an album then either describe the thinking behind the project or choose a couple of lead tracks to focus on. Originally, the song was a lot more bleak in tone and offered the listener no relief. Now, after considerable personal growth and focus on health (in all aspects) over the last 10 years, Well Grounded felt it was necessary to outro the song with a feeling of hope and optimism. Still, the song is about how the world is illusory, that despite the fact that it is often beautiful, we are sort of trapped here, and set against each other. The song speaks to the need for salvation when none is on the horizon.
