Boomplay’s Most Streamed Artist In Ghana

One of the most well-liked music streaming services is Boomplay. Due to the platform’s widespread use worldwide, most artists have gained popularity through the platform.

Here is a list of the top Ghanaian artists on Boomplay, along with the amount of total views they have gained so far.

Black Sherif has the highest number of streams on boomplay so far. His total streams to date are 124.3 million. 2019 saw the debut of Blacko on the music scene. After publishing Money, he got some recognition, but First Sermon, helped him become well-known. So far, he has published 10 tracks.

Sarkodie, also known as Michael Owusu Addo, is one of boomplay’s most streamed artists. Sarkodie started this music business in 2005, and as of this writing, 87.7 million people have listened to his 271 tracks on boomplay.
The Songbird is a part of them. Gyakie released her first song in 2019 with Pretty Love, followed by Never Like This, which helped her acquire some exposure. In 2020, she released the song Forever, which contributed to her increasing in popularity. Gyakie has released 19 songs and has 53.6 million streams on Boomplay.

Livingstone Esta Setakla, also known as Stonebowy is part of Boomplay’s most streamed artistes. He has 188 tracks released and 57 million streams on Boomplay. Stonebwoy came to the music scene in 2009.

With 999 tracks, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, better known by his stage as Shattawale, has received 69.1 million streams on BoomPlay. His musical career began in 2004.
Emmanuel Arthur, better known by his stage name Kwesi Arthur On Boomplay,  is one of the most streamed artists. With 59 tracks, he has amassed 50.3 million streams on Boomplay. After releasing Grind Day, which includes rapper Sarkodie, Kwesi Arthur rose to prominence in 2017.
Dennis Nana Dwamena Also known as Kidi has 52 songs and had received 48.6 million streams. Kidi won MTN Hitmaker Season 4 in 2015, which aided in his exposure.

Additionally, Kuami Eugen has 52 tracks released and he has received 43.2 million streams on Boomplay. In 2016, he entered the music industry.

Oluwatosin Ajibade, a Nigerian-Ghana based artist better known by his stage name Mr Eazi is one of them. He has received 41.6 million streams on Boomplay so far with his 89 releases.

Lasmid is also part of them. Lasmid won MTN Hitmaker in 2019 and it helped him gained some popularity though he was known by few. He released a lot of tracks after the event but still he couldnt get much recognition. He released Sika with Dead Peepol and later came out with it remix with Kuami Eugene and later Friday Night which has helped him gain more popularity. With 6 songs, he has received 29.6 million streams so far.

These are the Top 10 most streamed Ghanian Artists on Boomplay now. As you can see some have released few songs but their streamings are impressive as compared to some with many songs released. Black Sherif for example has released 10 songs so far but has has over 100 million streams which is amazing. Ghanaian musicians have been doing well so far.
