The most recent single released by Gin Wife, titled “Rat Race,” is a rebuke to those members of society who have a Hippocratic frame of mind and persistently work to drag weak people around them into the mud while attempting to establish a reputation for themselves as necessary and ideal.
Gin Wife claims that she was in a fantastic mood because she had been motivated by her own experiences of being a victim of this demeaning behavior from such people who look down on others. Gin Wife claims that she was a victim of this behavior from people who look down on others.
She penned down the lyrics of the song after feeling slighted by a co-worker for not being “important enough” at the workplace.
‘Rat Race’ is a beautiful song with magnificent lyrical content and production after I keenly listened to all the instrumental and lyrical elements that make it up. I have been reminded of so many situations the song speaks about and I hope other music listeners can relate to the message after listening to it.
‘Rat Race’ was recorded at The Salt Rock, the home studio owned by Gin’s producer Parker Forbes and his roomie BK Run.
The instrument has elements of Pop and rock combining electric and lead guitars with powerful running drumming with exquisite transitions to give listeners a feel of what a good Pop song can be. I also noticed the mixing and mastering of the song are so incredible, the instrumental and vocals mix has a lot of clarity thereby giving the song an airy and refreshing feel.
