Introducing “The Way It Was”: Lauren Minear’s Empowering New Song

327

Lauren Minear pens down emotions in her new empowerment song called “The Way It Was.” Lauren wrote the song together with Dan Weeks who also produced the song.

The song was inspired by the historic decision of the United States Supreme Court to overturn the Roe versus Wade decision. Roe v. Wade was a very important decision by the U.S. Supreme Court and it is said that the U.S. Constitution protects a woman’s right to have an abortion,  therefore in the song, Lauren wrote her feelings about this issue specifically and other current political running.

The song is therefore an uplifting anthem for women, filled with empowerment that makes it a compelling listen.

The song is a fast-paced one, and it has high energy and the ability to relieve listeners psychologically because it has intelligent and thought-provoking lyrics with sweet melodies. “The Way It Was” is a song that talks about the strength of women facing challenges. The song has a powerful and emotional sound. Lauren Minear expresses her emotions through her songwriting, making the track a meaningful reflection of the current political situation.

Her lovely vocals made the song enjoyable to listen to, and she made her vocal sound in a way that could tell she sung with emotions. Lauren’s vocals on the song merit praise indeed.

The song was Recorded at WWW Studios in London and The Cutting Room Studios in New York, NY

“The Way It Was” is the title track of Minear’s forthcoming album, which is expected to be released in the spring of 2024. It is a lively investigation on the concepts of self-discovery and visibility.
