391

With the track “Mbi yé da”, Matt Likembe takes us to Bangui to introduce us to his first album “Disciple”. “Mbi yé da” is an expression in Sango (official language of Central Africa) meaning “I  accept”. This track reminds us of the importance of knowing how to say “Yes” to God in all circumstances, while remaining in joy like the final notes of Sebene guitar!

Coming from France, Matt Likembe is a disciple of Jesus who puts his art at the service of the Gospel.  His music is a vibrant fusion of the musical styles that rocked and fascinated him: French song, rap, oriental music, African gospel, Congolese rumba and Afropop. A versatile artist, author, composer, rapper and singer, he creates a sound universe that builds bridges between cultures and musical genres.

With lyrics that draw on 20 centuries of Christian tradition and refrains that stick in the head, Matt Likembe demonstrates his commitment to producing contemporary music that is pleasing to the ear and that brings us closer to God, helping us to know him better as he has revealed himself.

Join Matt Likembe on this musical adventure and let yourself be carried away by “Mbi yé da”’s message of trust and surrender, as Matt Likembe’s talent and heartfelt lyrics resonate with listeners around the world.

“Mbi yé da” is now available for download on all platforms, accompanied by a compelling lyrics video on YouTube.
