The Atlanta base Gringo Star band is set to release their second single taken from their forthcoming album titled “On And On And Gone on.”

“Stand And Turn Away,” is an acoustic tune with a string-like effect that is perfect for singing over a campfire. On “Stand And Turn Away,” Gringo Star channel a purely American sound. Live takes were captured with the band playing in close proximity to one another in their recording facility to get an authentic country feel. “Stand And Turn Away” will be released on April 6th, 2023.

Nicholas Furgiuele, a member of the band says, “Stand and Turn Away” was recorded, like almost all the album, starting with a live track of him and the rest of the band all crammed together in a room with drums, percussion, piano, acoustic guitar, and then they added a few things. His wife, Julia, sings back up. He added a harmonica and an acoustic guitar solo to fill out a song about regret, longing, failing, and keeping on keeping on.

Gringo Star is also announcing U.S. and European tour dates. The upcoming U.S. tour will include shows in Orlando, Savannah, New York City, Atlanta and more.

Gringo Star have established themselves as one of Atlanta’s most significant rock and roll exports, carrying the torch for hazy, psychedelic garage rock in a city that is primarily regarded for its contributions to hip-hop. Gringo Star have made a name for themselves as one of the most precious rock and roll exports from Atlanta.

Nick and Peter Furgiuele, brothers, have been instrumental in the success of Gringo Star. They’ve utilized a lot of ingenuity and hard work to stay popular long after many other bands and blog darlings have faded away. They’ve amassed a large, devoted following all across the globe.
