Stonebwoy will perform as the festival’s headliners this year. The two-day occasion, which is renowned for its rich cultural diversity and immersive experience, will take place at the El Wak Stadium in Ghana. The theme for this year’s festival is “Afrofuturism,” which the website defines as a word that was “developed to study the burgeoning nexus of cultural aesthetic, philosophy of science, and philosophy of history as it relates to the African Diaspora.” Through the lenses of art, gastronomy, music, and fashion, the event is intended to offer a comprehensive portrayal of African talent. The festival is scheduled to take place from December 28 through December 29, 2022.
At the celebrity-studded event, a number of other musicians, including Ayra Starr of Mavin Records and many other Afrobeats artists from the African continent, are slated to perform. The event’s organizers will provide local vendors and food business owners with the chance to sell their wares on the premises during the celebration because the show is more than just an extravaganza that honors African art.
Afrochella Expo at Afrochella House will host an educational component of the festival from December 18 through December 31 before the main musical event begins. Deep-dive talks of commercial topics including technology, health, and other elements that influence the African economy will make up these episodes. Through programs like the Rising Star Challenge, the festival will provide artists a chance to showcase their talents.
