433

“Ndjawe” is Kurtys’s latest single which is however his second release as part of his project. The very title itself, deriving from ‘j’arrive’ in French or ‘I’m coming’ in English, is a summary of the song: a love song to a distant partner that is filled with difficulties yet brightened by expectations.

Kurtys is a French artist who has a distinctive, innovative sound coming from a variety of influences such as Afrobeat, Afro-pop and Amapiano. Having been raised in an area that gathered a variety of musical styles and having developed his skills in a Hip-Hop and R&B field, the Paris region environment has deeply impacted Kurtys’s musical identity.

Kurtys crafts “N’djawe” by drawing on his Brazilian and Beninese heritage which permeates it. As a self-produced track under his label Oshean Records, he sets on a new artistic course: modern Afro sound to speak to the worldwide audience.

The Amapiano, Afrobeat and Afrofusion elements blend perfectly in “N’djawe” to create an upbeat rhythm that breaks borders. Kurtys’ heartfelt lyrics and captivating melodies define and deliver the core essence of longing and strength in love, with “N’djawe ” becoming another contribution to his evolution.

With its infectious beats and powerful message, “N’djawe” looks set to hypnotize fans from all corners, cementing the spotlight on Kurtys as a burgeoning force to reckon with in the Afro music scene.
