San Francisco artist Hana Freed, with the electronic project called Tricky FM. She has just released a new album called “Peace, Love, Unity, Rave.” The album contains seven tracks thus Griefwork, See me play, Strawberry Coughdrop, Love Redux, First Kisser, Gentle and Sober Porno Superstar, and they all have different sounds that are interesting and fun to listen to.
Tricky says her album is about two things. First, it’s about her own struggles to find love, trust, and friendship with herself and others. She knows that our interactions are influenced by the way society treats women and by old beliefs. Second, it’s about her working to understand and accept parts of herself that she might not always show.
The first song, “Griefwork,” begins all dreamy and makes you think. Then, it changes into a rhythmic feeling like trip-hop music. Next is “See Me Play,” the second song, and it has a calming beat, perfect for late nights. After that comes “Strawberry Coughdrop,” which feels warm and kind of like a cool trip with special vocal sounds. The fourth song, “Love Redux,” is really lively and has a lot of fun pop sounds. The album stays interesting with different beats and sounds. For example, in “First Kisser,” it starts quiet and then gets brighter, like a dream getting more exciting.
“Peace, Love, Unity, Rave” is really good at making a moody and cool atmosphere with beautiful and catchy tunes. The songs has layers of electronic sounds that will make you feel happy. It includes different styles like vaporwave, glitchy beats, and hip-hop, but all with a cool old-school vibe.
